He's the best airline I've ever flown with. Takes off on time-ish, lands smooth, and we've never once been late for dinner. I trust him completely — with my life, no question.

Case in point: the time we had actual engine failure mid-flight. We called Mayday. Most pilots in that spot head straight for LAX — big runway, fire trucks waiting, a whole audience. He had LAX right there and looked at it like it was beneath him, and brought the plane down in Hawthorne instead. We'd been headed to Sonoma for wine tasting. Landed in Hawthorne, so we said screw it and went drinking in Laguna Beach instead. Still one of the most memorable days we've ever had.

And that's the thing — it's not just my life I trust to him. It's my daughter's too. She's flown with him solo, multiple times, and the ride was so smooth she never had to look up from her iPad once.
